The short version: we're a software company, not a financial one. Your money stays with your broker, your keys stay on your machine, and trading decisions — and their outcomes — are yours.
1. End User Software License Agreement
Fork My Alpha and the `.alphabot` hub operate strictly as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology vendor. We provide cloud-based data feeds, telemetry infrastructure, and standalone executable node software for rent. This agreement constitutes a software license, not an investment contract.
2. Absolute Disclaimer of Broker-Dealer and Investment-Adviser Status
We are not registered as a broker-dealer or investment adviser with the SEC or any other regulatory authority. We do not provide personalized investment advice, we do not recommend specific securities tailored to your portfolio, and we do not effect securities transactions on your behalf. All data, statistical algorithms, and correlation screens provided by our SaaS platform are impersonal, generic analytical tools.
3. Zero Custody Certification
Our cloud infrastructure does not touch, store, or process your brokerage credentials. API keys remain exclusively on your local machine. We cannot initiate deposits, withdrawals, or orders. You maintain absolute custody and control over your capital at all times.
4. User-Directed Hardware Execution
By downloading and running the `node-runner-alpha` binary, you acknowledge that you are independently orchestrating your own hardware to intercept and execute string commands based on our public telemetry feeds. All trades execute solely because you configured your local environment to do so. You are strictly responsible for testing your API connectivity and maintaining adequate risk safeguards on your own brokerage account.
